📝 Overview

Your adventure begins with a thrilling ascent to Mount Giouktas, where breathtaking views stretch across the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. It’s no wonder that, according to legend, Zeus chose this mountain as his final resting place. From here, the journey winds through vast vineyards steeped in history, where the Minoans once built the oldest known wine press in the world. We pause in a traditional mountain village to enjoy a coffee alongside the locals before the real adventure kicks in. The route turns wild as we leave the asphalt behind, tackling dirt tracks and rugged off-road paths that climb across hills dotted with ancient olive trees. Reaching the top of Trypiti Gorge, you’re rewarded with a jaw-dropping panorama of layered rock formations, aromatic Cretan herbs, and the shimmering Libyan Sea far below. Then it’s time to descend into the heart of the gorge itself—one of Crete’s most striking natural wonders. Here, you’ll have the chance to walk through a narrow passage carved by nature, leading to the hidden chapel of Panagia Trypiti, built seamlessly into the rock. With your appetite awakened, we head down to Trypiti Beach for a well-earned feast by the sea—enjoy a delicious lunch with unlimited wine and water, right beside the waves. Afterward, dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea for a refreshing swim and pure relaxation. The adventure continues along the southern coast, weaving through charming traditional villages full of character, before one final stop to raise a glass of our local drink, raki, and toast to an unforgettable day packed with adrenaline, culture, and spectacular scenery.
