We begin our day with a hotel pick-up and drive to our first stop, the Milatos Cave. Reaching the entrance requires a scenic 200-metre walk along an old footpath that offers stunning panoramic views over Milatos Bay. Here, you’ll also see a monument and learn about the area’s local legends, followed by a tasting of traditional olive oil and honey. Continuing our journey into the eastern mountains of the island, we visit the monastery of Xera Xyla. Along the way, we observe goats in their natural surroundings and collect aromatic herbs. After a short walk, we proceed through the mountainous landscape and pass through the small village of Nofalia, where life appears to have stood still in time. Our route then leads us to Vlichadia, located on the northern coast of the Mirabello region. This charming seaside settlement features a small rocky beach where you can take a refreshing swim. To further enjoy the scenery, we stop for a traditional lunch by the sea, accompanied by unlimited wine (with vegetarian and child-friendly options available). Refreshed, we head back into the mountains toward Havgas Gorge, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view overlooking the island of Spinalonga. Finally, we continue to the traditional village of Fourni, where you can sample raki before we return to your hotel.
