Ha Route

Our journey begins as we make our way toward the Gorge of Orino, famous for its beautiful waterfall. After a short walk through lush greenery, we reach this peaceful spot before continuing through traditional mountain villages where time seems to have stood still. Here we pause for a coffee in a local kafenio, the perfect moment to meet the locals and unwind. The route takes us through valleys of olive trees and wild herbs, giving you the opportunity to enjoy their aromas and learn about their benefits. We continue our drive high into the mountains, where rocky landscapes blend with the scent of thyme and sage, and breathtaking views open up over the Cretan South Sea. From here, we meander through the ancient Pine Forest of Thripiti, home to evergreen trees that can reach up to 1,000 years old. Before hunger sets in, we stop at a local taverna for a traditional Cretan meal served with local wine. Refreshed, we head to Agia Anna, a small traditional church at the entrance of HA, where you’ll have wonderful photo opportunities. As we slowly make our way back, we enjoy one final stop with an amazing view over the North Cretan Sea. This is a day full of surprises, stunning landscapes, and authentic Cretan moments.
